Training Budget

  • Every staff is allocated $600 as an encouragement to widen their horizons.
  • The process begins with training needs discussed at Staff Appraisal. After those training goals have been achieved, staff may apply to use the remaining amount on other areas. They could be classroom training, conferences, online learning, subscriptions, books, etc.  His immediate superior will approve it after being satisfied that it would grow the church or the staff himself.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, Admin Staff may take up theological training and non-Admin Staff may take up technical training, e.g. computer programming.
  • All training materials can be retained by the staff.
  • This budget covers training or material fees. Transportation, food and lodging that are not part of the packaged fees, i.e. itemised separately or paid to another provider, are not included.
  • Staff do not need to take Annual Leave for working hours used in training. Should the training be done outside working hours, no off-in-lieu will be granted. Should you receive a complimentary ticket, please apply for this budget with zero cost so that you do not have to take Annual Leave to attend.
